Summary	On the road, engine characteristics haven't changed much from the pre-facelift 911 models. But the extra power in both versions is clearly noticeable. The Carrera S still feels significantly stronger throughout the power band. In fact, the seamless power delivery of both the Carrera and the Carrera S make them even more fun to drive on country roads than the 911 Turbo. Fuel economy as tested on the European combined city/highway loop is a respectable 23 mpg for the Carrera S. This represents approximately 15 percent less consumption than the outgoing 911, which is pretty impressive considering the improved power.
